At Eleusinia, a psilocybin retreat in Mexico, we focus on the comfort, safety, and long term therapeutic benefit of our guests.
After you fill out the sign up form and send it in, you will receive an email from us with further instructions. Through email, we schedule a video chat or conference call to introduce ourselves and to discuss the details of the retreat along with your overall expectations and goals. At this introduction meeting, we confirm which dates are available and help our clients determine the best travel arrangements for reaching our retreat. The dates, location, and any specific needs/restrictions, including dietary matters are all discussed as part of our coordination. Even though the guests arrange their own flights to Mexico, we can assist them in determining the most efficient airlines and flight times suited to their needs.
Location- Puerto Vallarta
The majority of our retreats are held in Puerto Vallarta, on the pacific coast of Mexico. While we do sometimes rotate in other locations, this is our main hub. We include airport transfers to and from the retreat in the cost of your stay. Prior to the retreat, we do our best to coordinate flight times among all the attendees so that they are most likely to all be on the same flight into or out of the region.
The villa is quite spacious and luxurious. Every room is air conditioned and features a king or queen bed with private bath. The cost of the retreat includes all meals, non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, maid-service, and Wi-Fi. While it is possible to have alcoholic drinks available; they are just not a focus for our health and wellness retreat. Please discuss it with us ahead of time if alcohol is a priority for you. Although the retreat focuses on assisting individuals in the management of their health conditions, we also realize that our guests are on vacation too.
Depending on the time you arrive, the morning and early afternoon on the first day are usually spent allowing you to settle in. It is also a good time to mingle with the other guests and explore the grounds/common areas of the villa. The retreat format encourages group participation and interaction.
Despite the formal structured appearance of our website, the retreat itself feels more like a relaxing vacation with friends. What sets this vacation apart is that you gain the experience, knowledge, and skills you would need to incorporate psilocybin into your wellness plan.
All meals at the retreat are a group affair. We eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner all together and take advantage of the time to discuss important aspects of the retreat. After dinner the first evening, we take some time to introduce everyone and to discuss the upcoming activities. It is a good time to get comfortable with the group. During this period, we also arrange activities for any family members or friends attending that opt not to participate in the psilo experience scheduled for the next day. We want to make sure to discuss how they can be supportive to those attending for the main purpose of the retreat while still having a productive and relaxing time themselves. The evening is also spent answering questions and to introduce you to some of the techniques which will become relevant for the next day’s experience.
Friday morning, we serve coffee and juice and prepare for the event to take place later that day. We avoid solid food before the experience to avoid stomach upset. The meditation/yoga coach walks us through a meditative yoga session and we cover some additional techniques which may be useful for the upcoming experience. This can help work out any last minute nerves.
The experience takes place in a common area all together with the guides. Throughout the duration of the session, we remain present to offer guidance and support as needed.
We encourage participants to make use of the redirecting techniques at various points throughout the session. The goal is to be confident about managing the experience on your own at a later date. We provide a VR headset for each person to assist if necessary. Towards the tail end of the session, after most of the effects have faded, we guide those interested in PT through their preferred relevant exercises.
We serve a late lunch after the effects have passed. Most people will likely want to rest and contemplate their experience at this stage, but everyone is different. Those who want to participate in group discussions can do so while others can take the time to absorb and reflect on their own as they deem appropriate. Late dinner and opportunities to relax, reflect, or discuss follow. Team members might also discuss and coordinate any plans for the following day.
Cultivation Course, Yoga, And Massages
The third day consists of a yoga session, massages, and the mushroom cultivation course. Additional reflection and discussions take place as needed among the participants. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are provided throughout the day along with fresh fruit juices and smoothies. The group discussion at dinner for the last night focuses on the overall experience, future goals and aspirations.
Last Breakfast And Return Home
On Sunday, we have a goodbye breakfast and pack up for the flight home. The retreat provides airport drop off. We also include an option to purchase a package with all of the basic tools and supplies used in the in the cultivation course. For those who opt in, the package will ship shortly after your return home.
